Easy Weeknight Pasta

Easy weeknight pasta! This a family favorite and so simple to put together any day of the week. I’m trying to get my kids to try different meats so this was a great way to have them try some beef. They loved it!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb of ground sirloin or any ground meat you prefer
  • 1/2 large white onion - chopped
  • 1 tbsp of minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp of @traderjoes onion salt
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of chili flakes
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 jar of @traderjoes roasted garlic marinara sauce
  • 1 packet of rigatoni pasta

Instructions

In a large pan, heat the extra virgin olive oil.

Add your chopped onions, garlic, and meat.

Then add the seasonings and the pasta sauce.

Add extra olive oil and seasonings if needed.

In another pot, boil the pasta until al dente (which is cooked but still firm to a bite).

Drain and add the pasta in to the sauce pan.

Top with Parmesan cheese and serve!

Notes

Make sure to save a cup of the boiling liquid to add to the sauce if you need the sauce to be a thinner consistency.
