Baked Goat Cheese

Baked goat cheese in marinara has been a staple in my home since I was in college. It’s such an easy dish to take to parties because it is so simple to make. I added a fried egg on top to make it a hearty brunch dish for me and my husband.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle of your favorite marinara sauce
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 tsp of chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp of chopped garlic
  • 8oz of plain goat cheese
  • 2 fried eggs Fried egg
  • 1 tbsp of @traderjoes chili onion crunch (optional)
  • Crusty sourdough bread or any bread you prefer

Instructions

In a small pan, heat your olive oil and sauté your chopped garlic and chili flakes.

Add the marinara sauce and warm through.

In an oven safe dish, place your goat cheese in the middle and top it with your marinara sauce.

Bake for about 20 minutes on 350 degrees.

You can add your eggs straight into the marinara sauce and bake along with the goat cheese, or you can fry your eggs in a separate pan and place it on top of the dish as soon as the goat cheese is done baking.

Dress with a little chili onion crunch and some sea salt.
