I don’t know about you, but when I think of my forever snack it would be this dish. I have always been a sucker to order Shishito peppers anytime I see them on the menu, so of course I had to create my own version at home. These peppers pack a punch! Link in bio.

Chili Garlic Shishito Peppers
Ingredients
- 6 ounces shishito peppers - 1 box
- 1/2 tbsp of Trader Joes chili garlic crunch
- 1/2 tbsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsps of low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tsp of chili garlic sauce
- 1/2 tbsp of garlic sesame teriyaki sauce
- 2 tbsps of sesame oil
- 1/ 2 teaspoon of sesame seeds - for garnish
Instructions
In a large bowl mix together your shishito peppers, 1 tbsp of sesame oil and a pinch of salt.
Add the shishito peppers to your airfryer and cook for 10 minutes on 330 degrees.
Flip and make sure they are able to blister and brown on each side.
While thats cooking, in a small bowl whisk together soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, garlic, sesame oil and chili garlic crunch.
Heat a medium sized pan on low heat and add your sauce mixture and bring it to a boil.
Once it has come to a boil add your shishito peppers in and turn the heat off.
Mix and toss the peppers in the sauce, top with sesame seeds and enjoy!
Notes
If you don't have an air fryer you can make these peppers in a cast iron skillet.
