Golden Milk

I know “Golden Milk” or “Turmeric Latte” is a cool new trend right now, but guys this drink has been around for 100s of years! My mom and grandma have been making it since I was a baby! Anytime I felt a cold coming on, this drink was right there waiting for me. Golden milk is a cure in Ayurvedic traditional medicine. It’s anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, strengthens the immune system, regulates cholesterol, antiseptic, strengthens immune system and so much more. Over the years I’ve tweaked the recipe to make it more robust in flavors and in health benefits! It also goes well with a @traderjoes gingerbread man cookie! ?

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 1/2 tsp of organic Turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp of organic cinnamon
  • 1 tsp of organic honey
  • 1 tsp of organic vanilla extract
  • 1/4 of ground ginger
  • 1 tsp of coconut oil
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

Whisk all of the ingredients above in a pot and bring to a very low simmer.

Froth in a milk frother or hand milk frother and enjoy!
