- Chicken Shawarma - @traderjoes
- 1/4 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp ground coriander
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tbsp lemon zest
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Orzo
- Rice Orzo Pilaf Mix - @traderjoes
- 2 tbsp of butter
- 1 shallot minced
- 1 1/2 cups chicken stock
Instructions
Chicken Shwarma
Combine all the seasoning together and make it into a paste.
Rub the chicken shawarma thoroughly with the seasoning.
Cook on 350° in the oven on a rack in a pan for 30 minutes.
You’ll want to keep the pan there for all the drippings, and to make sure all surfaces of the chicken are nice and crispy.
Orzo
In a small pot, start with the heat on low.
Add your butter and shallots and cook for about 2 minutes.
Then, add your orzo mix, coat everything in butter, and allow it to toast for a couple of minutes.
Next, add your chicken stock and stir.
Bring to a boil, cover and lower the heat to simmer.
Cook with the lid on for 20-25 minutes.
Once the liquid has evaporated, turn the heat off, fluff the rice with a fork, and serve!
